Bangladesh site visits

The Bangladesh legal team made two visits to the boundary areas. The first, at the start of the two cases, visited St Martin’s Island and the boundary with India in the Raimangal estuary.

The second was part of the Tribunal’s site visit. Here the group included five judges, staff from the PCA, and counsel and experts from both sides, as well as the local support. The visit had one and a half days organised by each side. The group overflew all the basepoints used for the construction of equidistance lines, and visited the site of South Talpatty/New Moore Island in naval ships and hovercraft.
